MarketMan alternatives: 6 options compared
MarketMan starts at $249 a month and leads with inventory and purchasing. If what you need is current dish costs rather than stock counts and purchase orders, several products cover that for less. Here is what each one publishes, and where invoice capture sits on each.

Disclosure: Final Menu is one of the seven products compared here, and we make it. Every price below was read from each vendor's own pricing page on 15 October 2026, and each is linked to its source. Where a product does something Final Menu does not, that is stated plainly.
One note on the state of this comparison. Several pages that rank for this question list QuickBooks, Xero and Zoho Books as MarketMan alternatives. Those are accounting packages. They do not count stock, raise a purchase order or cost a recipe, and swapping one for MarketMan would leave an operator without the thing they bought MarketMan for. Everything below is a product that does at least one half of MarketMan's job.
MarketMan pricing
MarketMan publishes three tiers. The difference that matters most between the first two is the invoice scan cap.[1]
| Tier | Price | Invoice scanning |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $249/mo | 50 scans a month |
| Growth | $299/mo | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | From $449 | Email scanning, listed as an add-on elsewhere on the page |
Fifty scans a month is roughly twelve a week.[2] A single site taking daily produce, a weekly dry goods drop, bread and dairy several times a week and a drinks delivery will pass that in a normal month, which is how a $249 plan becomes a $299 one. Count your own supplier invoices for one month before choosing between the two tiers.
Two further things the page publishes. API access is a paid add-on below Enterprise, from $25 a month at one to three locations rising to $199 above thirty. And the page lists email invoice scanning inside the Enterprise feature list while marking it an add-on in the comparison table lower down, so confirm that one in writing before signing.
Why operators look for an alternative
Scope and entry price, and they are the same reason seen from two ends. MarketMan is built for ordering and stock: purchase orders, par levels, counts, supplier catalogues and variance. Recipe costing rides along with it.
If stock control is the actual problem, that breadth is why you buy it. If you already order fine by eye and what you cannot answer is what a dish costs this week, you are buying a purchasing platform to get the costing module, and the $249 floor reflects everything you are not using.
Published pricing compared
| Product | Entry price | Invoice capture | Inventory counting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Final Menu | Free · $99/mo | Entry plan, unlimited | No |
| MarketMan | $249/mo | Entry plan, 50 scans | Yes, leads with it |
| MarginEdge | $350/location/mo | Entry plan, unlimited | Yes |
| meez | $19/mo | Premium, $179/mo | Counting on paid feeds |
| reciProfity | $49/mo | Manual entry only | Yes |
| Restoke | AU$111/site/mo | Entry plan, unlimited | Yes, on Pro |
| Restaurant365 | Custom quote | Not published | Yes |
Entry prices are the lowest published rate, which for meez and Restoke means annual billing. MarginEdge prices per location and Restoke per site, so a second venue doubles those two while the flat plans do not move. Only meez and Restoke name a currency on their pricing pages.
The options one by one
MarginEdge: $350/location/month
The closest like-for-like swap if you want more rather than less. Unlimited invoice processing on the only plan there is, plus bill pay, vendor statement reconciliation and a daily profit and loss figure.[3] More expensive than MarketMan Growth at one site, and it prices per location, so the gap widens as you add venues. Restaurants on Toast also pay Toast $50 per location per month for the suite the connection needs.
meez: from $19/month
The recipe-first option, built for kitchens rather than purchasing: scaling, yields, method and training. Invoice processing sits on Premium at $179 a month billed annually, so a buyer who wants automated costs is comparing that, not the $19 headline.[4] No purchase orders or supplier catalogues, which is the half of MarketMan it does not attempt.
reciProfity: from $49/month
Costing with nutrition and allergen data, at the lowest entry price here. Its invoice handling differs from everything else: no scanning, so you enter invoices manually or import a spreadsheet,[5] and the $99 Operations tier updates ingredient prices automatically from what you entered. Cheap, and it moves the typing rather than removing it.
Restoke: from AU$111/site/month
Back-of-house operations across costing, ordering, prep lists and team management, with unlimited AI invoice processing on the entry tier.[6] The nearest thing here to MarketMan's breadth at a lower entry price, with the caveats that pricing is in Australian dollars excluding GST, quoted per site, and that its supplier integrations and support hours are built for Australian and New Zealand operators.
Restaurant365: custom quote
Accounting, inventory, workforce and payroll for larger groups, with no published prices at all. A step up in scope from MarketMan rather than an alternative to it.
Final Menu: free tier, $99/month
Ours, so weigh it with the bias in mind. It reads your invoices, keeps ingredient prices current, and recalculates recipe costs and suggested menu prices as those prices move. Invoice processing is included at $99 with no scan cap, and there is a free tier for up to 10 recipes.
What it does not do, and MarketMan does: stock counts, par levels, purchase orders, supplier catalogues, variance reporting. If those are why you are on MarketMan, this is not a replacement and you should stay.
How to choose
Answer one question first: is your problem what you are buying, or what you are charging? Over-ordering, stockouts and shrinkage are inventory problems, and MarketMan is built for them. Dishes that cost more than you think and prices that have not moved since your suppliers raised theirs are costing problems, and a costing tool solves those for a fraction of the price.
Then count your invoices for a month, because the scan cap decides the tier more often than the feature list does. And ask every vendor for setup fees in writing: several mention them without publishing an amount.
The arithmetic is the same whoever does it. Food cost percentage and prime cost are where the numbers these tools produce actually get read. If you are weighing the recipe-first products instead, see the meez comparison, and for the full back office the MarginEdge comparison.
